Editorial policy

Last updated:

FairScoreGuide publishes comparisons and guides for educational purposes. Editorial content is created independently of advertising sales; sponsors do not review or approve articles before publication.

Editorial owner. FairScoreGuide editorial is responsible for topic selection, source verification, and corrections policy enforcement. Contributors follow documented style, compliance, and review workflows before publication.

When we earn commissions through affiliate links, we disclose that relationship on relevant pages. Commissions may influence which products we can afford to cover at scale, but they do not change our rating methodology or pick order without editorial justification.

Fact-checking and sourcing. We prioritize official issuer pages, regulator resources, and primary documentation for claims tied to rates, fees, eligibility, and policy guidance. Sources are reviewed during drafting and at periodic refresh intervals.

Update cadence. Core money pages are reviewed monthly, and material product changes are targeted for update within 48 hours of detection. Date stamps are revised on significant edits.

We correct factual errors when identified and note material updates on time-sensitive pages. Send corrections to support@fairscoreguide.com.

Corrections process. If an error is reported, editors verify source evidence, update the content, and retain revision notes for audit. If uncertainty remains, we annotate the section until verification is complete.
